Britains only Silkmoth, a great spring species to rear, store the cocoons in a fridge until Spring. The moths pair easily. If you are lucky put a caged female outside in the day time to attract wild males. Im lucky i live around a nature reserve.
Good airflow achieves daytime pairing.
The larvae are easy to rear on Hawthorn, or Apple which i use. but will also feed on Oak,Cherry and Birch as well as many more.
